On August 3 and 4th, we will celebrate the annual Rila Mountain Festival. It dates back to 1925 and is celebrated in the first days of August. Every year on these days thousands of mountain lovers from the country and abroad gather on the beautiful slopes of Rila. According to tradition, people also climb to the highest summit of the Balkans - Musala /2925 m/, and there will be a diverse entertainment and musical program. The ascent is organized by the tourist association "Rila tourist" on Sunday along the route Borovets resort complex - Yastrebets hut - Musala hut - Musala peak and back. There will be a festive program near the "Musala" hut.
