Earlier, GERB leader Boyko Borissov stated that his party would not drop the nomination of Raya Nazaryan for President of the National Assembly. Unless a president is elected, there will be a constitutional crisis and even organizing elections would not be possible, he said. “The question if purely technological – we must elect a president of parliament who will send us to new elections! Now we can’t do even that,” Boyko Borissov said.
On his part the leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Delyan Peevksi called for the formation of a Euro-Atlantic government that will preserve Bulgaria’s road of development. Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov on his part stated that the political system in the country is in its last throes.
