Grigor Dimitrov lost his first match in the ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati, which has a total price fund of USD 6.79 million. The No 8 seed Bulgarian was defeated in three sets (6-4, 4-6, 3-6) by Hungarian Fabian Marozsan.
This is the second consecutive loss for Dimitrov, following his defeat to Australia's Alexei Popyrin in the third round of the ATP Montreal Masters last week.
A month ago, the Bulgarian tennis player suffered a knee injury at Wimbledon 2024 and was forced to retire in the round of sixteen match against Russian Daniil Medvedev.
