Efforts to put episcopal basilica of Philippopolis on UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list

The episcopal basilica of Philippopolis is a vivid example of how Bulgarian tourism can be assisted, said caretaker Minister of Tourism Evtim Miloshev during a meeting with the President of the America for Bulgaria Foundation Nancy Schiller. Including the basilica in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list will be extremely useful. Nancy Schiller stated that the fact that it is on this list attracts tourists to any site, and joint efforts will be made so this can come to pass. Minister Miloshev described the idea as an inspiring cause the Ministry of Tourism has actively been working towards. Evtim Miloshev described drafting a digital map of the cultural and historical sites in Bulgaria and the restoration and modernization of the thermal facilities in the country as a priority.
