Bulgaria’s Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov confirmed that Bulgaria has sent Ukraine Gvozdika self-propelled artillery systems, public service TV BNT reports. These weapons are unserviceable and no explicit sanction by parliament is needed, Minister Zapryanov said further.
For every piece of weaponry and munition Bulgaria gives Ukraine the country will receive financial compensation, he added. Efforts are underway for acquiring new 155-mm. self-propelled howitzers – for the purpose the common EU initiative will be made use of so as to reduce the cost of acquiring them, caretaker Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov said.
