Eight firefighting teams battled a fire near Asenovgrad

A fire broke out last night near the agro-industrial complex in Asenovgrad. It has already been contained. Eight firefighting teams from Asenovgrad and Plovdiv battled the fire, which engulfed a large and hard-to-reach terrain, the BNR’s correspondent in Plovdiv reported. Clearings were made to stop the spread of the flames towards the nearby buildings.

Approximately 600 decares of dry grass, shrubs, abandoned vineyards, and trees were destroyed. Today, firefighting efforts will continue to extinguish the smouldering areas.
