The foreign ministers of Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and Croatia held a meeting within the framework of the general debate at the UN General Assembly in New York, Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry has announced.
The foreign ministers of the four countries discussed the ongoing war in Ukraine and the consequences for regional security, and were unanimous that the staunch support for Ukraine must continue for as long as it takes. They were adamant that the future of Ukraine is in the EU, the announcement reads. They also agreed that the new geopolitical reality assigns the policy of EU enlargement a central role. “It is in our interest to have stable, pro-European and prosperous neighbours,” the foreign ministers of the four countries stated and agreed to continue to coordinate their national positions on the European and global agenda.
