Grigor Dimitrov qualifies for the third round of the 2024 Shanghai Masters

Bulgaria’s best tennis player Grigor Dimitrov qualified for the third round of the 2024 Shanghai Masters with a prize fund of USD 9 million. The ninth-seeded Grigor Dimitrov defeated Zizou Bergs (Belgium) 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. The match began on Saturday but was suspended due to rain. It also rained on Sunday, and the match had to be finished today. Dimitrov’s next opponent will be 20th-seed Alexei Popyrin (Australia).

In the second round of the tennis tournament, Popyrin (ATP Rank 24) defeated Miomir Kecmanovic (Serbia) 6:3, 6:2. Popyrin holds a 2-1 lead against Dimitrov. In August, he defeated Dimitrov at the Montreal Masters.
