Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil has served a festive liturgy and water blessing for the feast of the Procession of the Holy Cross of the Lord in the St. Sophia church in Sofia. After the service, together with President Rumen Radev, the two launched the initiative "Journey of Faith". Speaking to BTA, the Bulgarian Patriarch pointed out that the "Rila Miracle Worker" pilgrimage is being held for the 16th time in a row and highlighted its important spiritual mission.
The Bulgarian Patriarch pointed out the support of the presidential institution, as well as of the local authorities, represented by the mayors of the settlements through which the pilgrimage passes and "encourages people and shows that when we are together, good things are achieved."
