The construction of a proton therapy center is a priority for the Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health firmly supports the idea of building a proton therapy center. According to a statement from the Health Ministry's press office, the public procurement for its design has been entrusted to the University Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment in Oncology "Prof. Ivan Chernozemski". 

The estimated cost of the project design is EUR 500,000. The construction of this center will be crucial for the control and treatment of oncological diseases in Bulgaria, particularly for malignant tumors in children, reads the announcement.
