The 51st National Assembly tried for the tenth time to elect a speaker. The PP-DB once again proposed Atanas Atanasov for speaker of the parliament, "Vazrazhdane" proposed Petar Petrov, "BSP - United Left" - Natalia Kiselova, and ITN - Silvi Kirilov, who is leading the ongoing first session of the parliament since November 11 as the oldest among the MPs.
The two who won the most votes in their support went to the runoff - Natalia Kiselova and Silvi Kirilov. Once again neither of them received enough support to be elected.
The parliament's attempts to elect a speaker will continue for the eleventh time tomorrow, Friday, December 6, when Orthodox Christians in this country celebrate the Day of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker.
