As of January 1, 2026, the minimum monthly wage will be set at 1,213 BGN (EUR 620.20). This represents a 12.6% increase, or 136 BGN (EUR 64.4) more than its current amount. The proposed change is outlined in a draft decree by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, which has been published for public consultation.
As of January 1, 2026, the minimum hourly wage will be 7.31 BGN (EUR 3.74 EUR). The increase in the minimum wage is expected to raise the incomes of nearly 600,000 people.
