Sofia welcomes President of the European Council on September 4

President of the European Council Antonio Costa is coming to Bulgaria on September 4, where he will meet with Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, the Council said in a statement released today, BTA reported. Earlier that day, Costa will also visit Romania for talks with Nicușor Dan.

The visit is part of his European tour of capitals with meetings with the leaders of the member states, during which Costa will discuss the main political priorities and the working methods of the European Council.

As President of the European Council, it is my duty to listen to and understand the priorities of all leaders, especially in these uncertain times, Costa commented.
