According to Eurobarometer, Bulgarians remain divided over the adoption of the euro

Support for the eurozone in Bulgaria has increased by 9 points to 46%, according to data from the autumn edition of the Standard Eurobarometer survey. The survey was conducted between October 11 and November 1. However, the country remains divided on the issue, as 46% of respondents are still opposed to adopting the single currency. By comparison, support for the euro in the EU stands at 74%.
The percentage of Bulgarians who have a positive view of the EU is significantly higher than the EU average (52% in Bulgaria and 44% in the EU). Approximately half of Bulgarians perceive the Russian invasion of Ukraine as a threat to the country and the EU. However, support for funding military aid to Ukraine in Bulgaria is among the lowest in the EU- 26%. At the same time, 54% of Bulgarians believe that the EU should strengthen its defense capabilities, compared to 69% in the EU.
