The big winners of the 28th edition of the Bulgarian Documentary and Animated Film Festival "Golden Rhyton" are the animated film "White Shoulder for a Black Man" by director Anri Kulev and the documentary film "Geri's Wish" by Tonislav Hristov. "Geri's Wish" also won the critics' award.
The special jury award went to Tsvetan Dragnev for the documentary film "Balkan Black Box". The film also won the awards for music and for best cinematography. The special jury award for animated film went to Ivan Popov-Zaeka for the film "Family Portrait of the Black Earth". This year, 59 films competed, as 21 were animated films and 38 were documentaries. 25 works were included in the "Open Horizons" program. The total number of titles was 84.
