Where will the new year take us? The New York Times helps us start our travels with suggestions from its annual list of the 52 best places to visit in 2025. Among them, Bulgaria stands out as an attractive destination that focuses the attention of travelers from all over the world.
The publication emphasizes that traveling to our country has become easier than ever, thanks to the abolition of border checks for visitors from most European Union countries (in connection with Bulgaria's accession to Schengen by land from January 1, 2025). In addition, the expectations that Bulgaria will adopt the euro will further facilitate tourists arriving from abroad.

The Black Sea resorts are also mentioned as ideal places for relaxation.
The New York Times concludes with a recommendation to readers to try the underrated Bulgarian wines, which add additional flavor to an already unforgettable trip.
The publication's ranking also includes exotic destinations such as Costa Rica, known for its nature reserves, the lively city of Kyoto in Japan, etc. The list was compiled with the aim of offering travelers a variety of cultural, natural and adventure experiences.
Bulgaria is on the world map as a destination that offers a rich history, natural beauty and cultural diversity, and 2025 is a great time to visit it.
