President Rumen Radev calls for improving Bulgaria's digital infrastructure

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev held a meeting with the management of United Group, at which the prospects for the construction of large data centers and investments in the field of cybersecurity were discussed. The head of state emphasized the importance of reliable information and its reliable storage for the development of society and the economy. He called for improving the digital infrastructure in the country, the press service of the president reported.
United Group introduced Radev to their ambitions for implementing energy projects for the production of energy from renewable sources. Three photovoltaic plants and an onshore wind power plant will generate 310,000 MWh annually and will satisfy 65% ​​of the group's electricity consumption in the country. The initial investment by 2027 is 120 million euros.
Since entering the Bulgarian market in 2020, United Group has invested over 2.5 billion euros in the first 10 GIGA fiber network and the largest 5G network in the country.
