Lake Pomorie welcomes visitors free of charge today 

The Visitor Centre on Lake Pomorie will be welcoming visitors free of charge today, 1 February, on the occasion of World Wetlands Day, which will be celebrated on 2 February. This was announced by the Municipality of Pomorie. The centre will be open from 10:00 to 16:00.

Lake Pomorie is part of the most important wetland complex on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The lake is included in the 2002 Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance as a habitat for waterfowl. It is of great importance for Europe as a Ramsar site because it has a very rare type of ecosystem. 40% of all European bird species can be observed here.
