President Rumen Radev participated in the opening of a discussion on the future of the judiciary, which is being held in Sofia. The forum is organized by the Bulgarian Institute for Legal Initiatives. In his speech, the President called for action against influence on the judiciary. "I appeal to all of you, as well as to the responsible state institutions, based on the considerable information about these cases, to take action against political and oligarchic influence on the judiciary," Radev said.
In his speech, he recalled that the composition of the Supreme Judicial Council must be renewed and pointed out that the acting prosecutor general has been head of the prosecution for a year and a half. He also said that a comprehensive vision for the judiciary was needed.
