The cabinet’s priorities should be connected with harnessing prices, adopting the budget and taking measures to counter corruption. In an interview with BNR-Varna, sociologist Dimitar Ganev from Trend sociological agency said that economic anxiety among Bulgarians remains high and the rising prices are the main problem for the population. According to a survey by Trend, 39% of Bulgarians say they do not approve of the Zhelyazkov cabinet, and 32% that they do. To avoid social discontent, the government should be more careful when drafting the budget, Dimitar Ganev said. The percentage of respondents who point to the country’s entering the Eurozone as a priority is still in the single digits.
