Sofia Mayor Terziev seeks funding for better transport and energy efficiency

Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev and Deputy Mayor of Sofia for Finance Ivan Vasilev met in Bulgaria's capital with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Associate Director Donald Mishaxhiu. The purpose of the meeting was to explore opportunities for financing key infrastructure investments to improve the energy efficiency of the capital city. Investments are also being sought for the transformation of school buildings, schoolyards and the infrastructure around them.

Another ambitious goal of the Sofia Mayor is the modernization of public transport with the idea that by 2035, over 80% of trips in Sofia will be made using public transport.
