Bulgaria's Parliament ratifies the contract for the acquisition of Javelin anti-tank missiles

Bulgaria's National Assembly ratified the contract for the acquisition of Javelin anti-tank guided missiles. The contract is intended to provide the necessary missiles for the anti-tank systems of the Stryker combat and reconnaissance vehicles. It was signed on October 17, 2024. ''The contract is drafted in accordance with the US legislation. It contains a number of features that do not align with the contractual and legal practices established in the processes of acquisition of defense products in Bulgaria'', the Ministry of Defense clarified.

The ''Vazrazhdane'' party opposed the deal, stating that the contract works against Bulgarian interests.
