Veliko Tarnovo welcomes the Resurrection of Christ in Tsarevets Fortress

Citizens and guests of Veliko Tarnovo are to welcome the Resurrection of Christ in the Tsarevets Fortress. The gates of Tsarevets will be opened at 10:30 p.m. on Holy Saturday and an hour later an Easter service will begin in front of the Patriarchal Church of the Ascension of the Lord. Then, believers will head to the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, accompanied by the ringing of all the church bells, announcing the Resurrection of Christ.
