Seven organ transplants performed since the beginning of 2025

Nearly 850 Bulgarians continue to wait for compatible organs, and seven transplants have been performed since the beginning of the year. According to a report by the Medical Supervision Agency sent to the Bulgarian National Radio, last year in hospitals that are donor bases, there was only one unrealized donor situation after brain death. At the backdrop of increasing number of donor situations in the country, a smaller number of transplants were performed last year compared to 2023.
