In 2025 Bulgaria's oldest opera house outside the capital, the Stara Zagora Opera, will celebrate its centenary with a series of remarkable projects. One of them is the concert of the theatre's symphony orchestra with emblematic compositions of George Gershwin on May 10 at 7 pm at the Bulgaria Hall in Sofia. The programme includes "Cuban Overture", "Rhapsody in Blue" and "Porgy and Bess: A Symphonic Picture".
The concert will feature renowned jazz pianist Konstantin Kostov as special guest soloist and will be conducted by Ivaylo Krinchev, Chief Conductor of the Stara Zagora State Opera.
