Lia Karatancheva wins the title at W50 Indian Harbour Beach

Lia Karatancheva won the singles title at the clay court tennis tournament W50 Indian Harbour Beach (USA), with a prize fund of USD 40,000. In the final, the 21-year-old Karatancheva defeated top seed Arina Rodionova (Australia, World Rank 204) 6–2, 6–7(8), 6–3. The match lasted 2 hours and 38 minutes.

Lia Karatancheva became the champion after five consecutive wins, losing only two sets throughout the tournament. Thanks to this success, the Bulgarian tennis player will make her debut in the top 280 in the women’s tennis rankings. Karatancheva won her first ITF women's singles title.
