The natural gas supply agreement concluded with the Turkish company Botas is on the parliament's agenda at the request of GERB-SDS. The deputies will hear on the subject the current Minister of Energy Zhecho Stankov, the former Caretaker Minister of Energy Rosen Hristov, during whose term the agreement was signed, the former Executive Director of Bulgargaz Denitsa Zlateva and the then and current Director of Bulgartransgaz Vladimir Malinov, a BNR team reported.
According to PP-DB, who also want such a hearing, there is serious reason to believe that the agreement is economically unprofitable - almost 1 million leva per day for Botas not for supplied gas, but for access to the Turkish gas transmission infrastructure, legally unbalanced and strategically risky for the Bulgarian side. Next, they point out doubts about "the role of President Rumen Radev and his pressure for Bulgaria to conclude an agreement with Turkey, and a caretaker government appointed by him plays a major role in its conclusion," they write in a press release from "Yes, Bulgaria!", part of the PP-DB coalition.
