The Istanbul-Burgas ferry line was officially opened in Istanbul on June 12, the Turkish DHA news agency reported. The start of the project was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The first trip was expected to take place in October 2024, but the Turkish company "Istanbul Sea Bus" (İDO) postponed the sailing due to the rough winter sea.
The first scheduled sailing will take place on June 24.
From July, ferry services will be permanent and will depart from Istanbul every Thursday and Sunday and from Burgas every Monday and Friday.
The standard price of a one-way ticket for the ferry is 60 euros, and for a round-trip ticket - 99 euros. There is also a discount for children from 6 to 12 years old.
