The anniversary of the enthronement of Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil was celebrated at the Rila Monastery today. Hundreds of faithful, clergy, and officials gathered early at the holy site to honor the anniversary of his ascension to the patriarchal throne.
Patriarch Daniil was elected on 30 June 2024, following the peaceful passing of Patriarch Neophyte. Renowned for his deep theological knowledge and moderate approach, he swiftly gained the respect of both clergy and laypeople through his pastoral presence and social engagement, as reported by BNR's Mariana Popova.
