The EU is investing over €37 million in the construction of truck parking areas in Bulgaria

The European Commission has announced that the EU will invest nearly €37.5 million in the construction and modernisation of six parking areas with a total of 816 spaces for heavy goods vehicles. According to BNR correspondent in Brussels Angelina Piskova, the facilities are located along the Baltic Sea–Black Sea–Aegean Sea transport corridor, which is part of the European TEN-T core road network.

This funding forms part of a total investment of €2.8 billion for 94 transport projects across the EU.

The funds are being provided as grant aid under the Connecting Europe Facility.
