Hearing of the heads of special services over attacks against Bulgaria’s entry into the eurozone

The Chairman of the Security Services Control Committee, Atanas Atanasov, has summoned its members to a meeting today. A day after the official "yes" to Bulgaria's accession to the eurozone on January 1, 2026, the MPs will hear the heads of the state agencies "National Security" and "Intelligence", as well as of the "Military Intelligence" Service.

The topic is "the presence of risks of thwarting the country's accession to the eurozone from January 1, 2026, the special operations conducted, including disinformation operations, by foreign special services to thwart the main foreign policy priority of the Republic of Bulgaria, and the actions taken to stop these operations."
