Ivan Ivanov wins the historic Bulgarian final at the US Open Junior Tennis Championships

Ivan Ivanov won the title at the US Open Junior Tennis Championships. In the Junior Boys’ Singles final, the No 1 seeded Bulgarian defeated his compatriot Alexander Vasilev 7–5, 6–3 after 74 minutes of play.

Ivan Ivanov finished with 19 winners and 21 unforced errors. This is the second Grand Slam title for Ivanov. On July 13, he triumphed with the Wimbledon junior boys’ singles title. He also a became the second Bulgarian to win the US Open boys' singles title after Grigor Dimitrov who won the trophy in 2008.
