Draft: Telework for parents of children under 12 during summer vacation

Draft amendments to the Labour Code envisage that parents of children up to the age of 12 are entitled to teleworking or a change in their hours of work and work schedule during the summer school holidays. The draft was submitted by Denitsa Sacheva, chair of the parliamentary committee on labour and social policy and a group of MPs from GERB-SDS, the Bulgarian Socialist Party and ITN. The aim is a better work-parenting balance. The draft is to be discussed with businesses and the TUs as of this week, the BNR has been informed.
