The leaders of ruling GERB party and "MRF - New Beginning" Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski have demanded immediate closure of the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration" /DAI/. The request was submitted after the scandal with agency's employees who demanded bribes from the drivers of trucks carrying equipment for the Robbie Williams concert in Sofia on September 28.
"One part of the agency's activity will go to the traffic police, and the other part - the toll system can do without any problems," Borissov justified the demand. The request was also supported by the Velichie party, reporter Maria Fileva reported.
The APS party is inclined to support the idea, albeit with reservations. "This proposal is more like the refrain: "No person - no institution - no problem"," commented Hasan Ademov from the party.
The leader of We Continue the Change (PP) Assen Vassilev ironically mocks the situation in which a concert could be the reason for such a drastic move: "Robbie Williams came and we closed the Automobile Administration Agency. I wonder who should come to close the Prosecutor's Office."
