President Rumen Radev welcomed Hungarian President Tamás Sulyok in Smolyan. The guest visited the Bulgarian home of Hungarian poet, translator and artist László Nagy in the city in the Rhodopes. On October 20, the two presidents held an official meeting in Sofia.
"As a result of Hungary's rational position, Budapest will naturally host the meeting between the president of the United States Donald Trump and Russian president Vladimir Putin," Radev said at the joint press conference after the talks. I called on Hungary, which has growing friendly relations with North Macedonia, to convince our brothers that the change in the Constitution and the European consensus are an irrevocable condition for EU membership, Radev added.
Sulyok promised Hungary's support for Bulgaria's accession to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
