The tendency of Bulgarians returning from abroad is permanent. This became apparent during the forum “Europe is with me”, organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy’s Human Resources Development Programme, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reports. The decision is based on the assessment that the situation in the country allows for a more normal kind of life.
“Two-three months before announcing the “I choose Bulgaria” programme we started receiving dozens of emails a day from Bulgarians who had decided to return or were seriously considering returning to the country with their families,” said the head of the programme Tzvetan Spassov. These people are asking serious questions, he added – not just about support from the state but also about their children being included in the system of education, about health services.
More than 2,600 people have submitted applications for returning to the country, Executive Director of the Employment Agency Smilen Valov said, and added that going abroad is no longer so attractive to our compatriots.
