Average social security income reaches 962.25 EUR

The amount of the average social security income for the country for September 2025 is 962.25 EUR and the amount of the average monthly social security income for the country for the period October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025 is 919.3 EUR, the National Social Security Institute has reported.

The average monthly social security income for the country for the specified period serves to calculate the amounts of newly granted pensions in October 2025, according to the Social Insurance Code.

For reference, the minimum wage in Bulgaria in 2025 is 550.66 EUR. According to the accounts of CITUB trade union as of June, 780.23 EUR is the net subsistence wage for a worker living alone.
