Bulgarian grain producers will join a protest against the new Common Agricultural Policy, organized by “Copa-Cogeca” – the largest organization representing farmers and agricultural cooperatives in the European Union, BNR reporter Vesselina Milanova has informed. Farmers from 24 countries, dissatisfied with the proposed reform of the agricultural policy by the European Commission, will participate in the protest in Brussels on December 18.

“This is the turning point at which we need to change something and we will try to show Brussels that we do not agree. About 10,000 farmers have confirmed participation. Colleagues from Belgium and France will be there with machines,” said Ilia Prodanov, chairman of the National Association of Grain Producers.
