Traffic on Danube Bridge will be eased for Christmas and New Year

During the Christmas and New Year holidays, traffic on the Danube Bridge near Ruse - Giurgiu will be allowed in both lanes. This was stated by regional governor Dragomir Draganov, who together with his deputy Georgi Georgiev and the executive director of the Euroregion Danubius Association, Lili Gancheva, participated in an official ceremony in Giurgiu on the occasion of the national holiday of Romania - December 1, BTA has reported.

Draganov commented that the idea is that traffic during the holidays will be carried out in both lanes of the facility in order to ease traffic. This is planned to happen in the period between December 18 of this year and January 4, 2026. From January 4, repair activities will be resumed.
