The name of the band “Ostava” turned out to be emblematic because, despite all kinds of storms, it not only remained on the Bulgarian music scene, but in more than 30 years of existence it has become one of the most significant Bulgarian alternative rock bands. Now ''Ostava'' returns with a new, seventh studio album.
Its title, “Sartse/Vina” (a wordplay hinting at both “Heart/Core” and “Heart/Guilt”) takes us into the melancholic and deep musical explorations of Svilen, Zhoro, Dani, Boyan and Alex. ''Sartse/Vina'' features eight songs, once again authored by Svilen Noev and Georgi Georgiev. Among them are the already known “Mona Lisa”, “Vinoven” (“Guilty”) and “Spomen” (“Memory”). Shortly before the album’s promotion, its newest single, “Aristokrat”, was also released.

According to Svilen Noev, the songs are very different in emotion but share a similar sound — a sound the band once again shaped together with their longtime collaborator, music producer Georgi Stanev. Svilen Noev has more:
“Sasho designed the cover — he really wanted the album to be titled this way. In the chorus of one of the songs we sing: ‘Stop the silence, how long will you be gone — aren’t we the only ones at the core?’ I really wanted that lyric to be sad, romantic. When I sent it to our drummer Daniel, he wrote back saying I had made him cry — which was the goal. Music is emotion. If you don’t feel emotion when listening to music, then there’s no point in the music.”

This very emotion will be at the heart of the concert on December 5, at which Ostava will present their new seventh album, ''Sartse/Vina''. Along with the eight new songs, the audience will also hear some of the band’s music hits. This concert marks the beginning of the musicians’ winter tour, which continues in Plovdiv on December 11, in Stara Zagora on December 27, and in Burgas on December 28, with more dates to follow in 2026.
