A contract for engineering and consultancy services for the construction of Units 7 and 8 of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant was signed at the Council of Ministers with a consortium of three leading international companies – Laurentis Energy Partners (LEP), BWXT Canada Ltd. (BWXT), and Canadian Nuclear Partners S.A. (CNPSA).
The consortium will support Kozloduy NPP – New Build EAD in carrying out investor oversight and monitoring all processes related to the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the new nuclear units at the site of the nuclear power plant.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the signed contract guarantees that the new units will be completed in accordance with all international and national regulatory standards, within a predictable timeframe and within budget.
