INSAIT launches EXPLORER scholarship programme for talented students

The Institute of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technologies (INSAIT) at Sofia University has launched the latest edition of its EXPLORER programme. This relatively new initiative offers scholarships of €36,000 and paid summer placements at leading technology firms for some of the most promising young technologists in Bulgaria.

Designed to nurture the next generation of AI and technology talent, the programme provides financial support throughout students’ studies alongside hands-on experience through paid engineering internships.

This year, the programme attracted €500,000 in business funding, strengthening its position as one of the country's most significant AI and deep tech initiatives. Notably, Google has joined its donors for the first time.

EXPLORER (EXcellence Program in technoLOgy and REseaRch) is open to recent high school graduates and first-year computer science students at Sofia University’s Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics.
