Parliament committee reviews situation of Bulgarians in North Macedonia

The Parliamentary Committee on Policies for Bulgarians Abroad is scheduled to meet today to review the current political and social situation affecting the Bulgarian community in North Macedonia.

• Hate speech in Skopje has led to an attack on journalist Vlado Perev

This follows an incident in Skopje in which the journalist and public figure Vladimir Perev, who is of Bulgarian descent, was subjected to physical and verbal aggression. The attack, which took place in front of multiple witnesses, has once again raised concerns about the security of Bulgarians in North Macedonia and the increasing prevalence of hate speech against them.
