European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kövesi visits Bulgaria

European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kövesi is on a visit to Bulgaria. Her program in Sofia includes a meeting with Bulgaria’s Minister of Justice, Georgi Georgiev.

The visit comes just days after the indictment filed by the European Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Sofia City Court against former Varna mayor Ivan Portnih and three other individuals for fraud related to the reconstruction of a non-existent fishing port in the Karanitinata area, reported the BNR’s Horizont channel.
