Greek border authorities have temporarily halted the passage of trucks at the Promachonas border crossing. The Bulgarian Border Police recommends that travelers to Greece use the Ilinden–Exochi border crossing, reports the website of the Border Police.
Around a thousand heavy trucks are blocked before the Kulata border checkpoint. The queue on the Bulgarian side of the border exceeds 12 km. On the evening of December 3, passenger cars began to be allowed to cross to and from Greece, followed later by trucks— but only heading into Bulgaria. There is no clarity on when the blockade of heavy trucks and tractors near the Bulgarian border will be lifted, reports BNR’s correspondent in Blagoevgrad, Keti Trencheva.
