Bulgaria wants peace efforts for Ukraine to reflect the positions of Kyiv and EU

Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev emphasized that Bulgaria remains committed to supporting Ukraine, as this is support for the international legal order and the principle that power cannot prevail over law, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported. Minister Georgiev participated in the NATO foreign ministers’ meeting in Brussels.

Minister Georgiev highlighted the need for consistency and strategic resilience in a complex international environment. “We are at a historic moment that requires firmness, responsibility, and a clear commitment to our shared values and security”, Georg Georgiev said. “Diplomatic initiatives must clearly reflect the positions of Ukraine and Europe so that peace is not only achieved but also fair and lasting”, Minister Georgiev added.
