In December, Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) will revive the tradition of traveling on Christmas trains with a steam locomotive. The first trips are scheduled for December 13 and 14. Retro trains will run on the Sofia–Bankya–Sofia and Gorna Oryahovitsa–Veliko Tarnovo–Gorna Oryahovitsa routes, consisting of three festively decorated carriages and one special retro carriage from the “Vitosha Express” set. Santa Claus and Snow White will travel in the retro carriage, greeting children, handing out small gifts, and creating a truly magical Christmas atmosphere.
