PP-DB coalition to submit no confidence vote over the cabinet’s economic policy

“We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” (PP-DB coalition) will tomorrow submit to the National Assembly a vote of no confidence against the government of Rosen Zhelyazkov.

“The topic is the government’s economic policy, because through it they brought so many people out to protest,” said the co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" Bozhidar Bozhanov. According to him, the budget was the last drop in a series of wrongly pursued economic policies against businesses, the middle class, economic development, and the reduction of administrative burdens. The MP said that the government’s economic policy is completely misguided.

The deputy chairman of "We Continue the Change", Nikolay Denkov, added: “There is not a drop of humility and no sense that the Interior Ministry and the government owe people an apology for what is happening now with the young people detained during the protest against the government’s draft budget on December 1, and it is unclear why they are there and why others, who perhaps should have been detained, were released.”
