The Orthodox Icon: Light from Eternity exhibition opens in Paris

On the eve of the Christmas and New Year holidays, the gallery of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Paris will host the exhibition “The Orthodox Icon: Light from Eternity”, the institute announced on its Facebook page.

Curated by Zornitsa Ivanova, the exhibition offers an insight into contemporary Orthodox iconography and mosaic art. It features works by nine Bulgarian masters and ten international iconographers from the French association L’Icône. "In one space, different schools, techniques and styles come together to showcase the living tradition of the icon," said the cultural institute.

The exhibition is organised by the Bulgarian Orthodox Church Community “St. Patriarch Evtimiy of Tarnovo” in Paris and the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Paris, and will be open to visitors from 11 December to 29 January.
