A new Bulgarian cultural center named “Bulgarian Roots and Children” has opened in the U.S. city of Chicago.
This is the fifth cultural hub established by the Bulgarian community there. Its mission is to preserve the Bulgarian language and traditions. The center will be aimed not only at children from the region but also at all children of Bulgarian descent around the world, founder Snezhana Stoyanova told BNR correspondent Elena Tsaneva.
Through its online platform, “Bulgarian Roots and Children” provides a large number of educational resources. These include “lessons in Bulgarian language and literature developed by our teacher, who is an exceptional specialist. There is a lot of audio content – fairy tales, science stories. We also have a collection dedicated to Bulgarian traditions,” Stoyanova explained.

The platform also features a classified section where users can present their services and business, with the idea that visitors can access information about Bulgarian-run businesses in different parts of the world.
